To some, he is Dr. Harrison, an Associate Director for the School of Performing Arts, and a Professor of Music Business and Technology at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. A published author, he writes books on popular music, and specializes in American hard rock in the 1980s.
He is also known as Thomas Rex Harrison, a composer who writes music for the concert hall.
Some know Tommy as a hard rock guitarist, most notably with Denver-based Dogs of Pleasure. He proudly uses and has affiliations with Fender Guitars, Marshall Amplifiers, Celestion Speakers, D'Addario Guitar strings, Seymour Duncan pickups, Hipshot Guitar Accessories, and EX-Gear effect pedals.
Others know that Tommy is a producer and engineer, who has recorded multiple genres.
Above all, he relishes in collaborating with other musicians in a variety of capacities.
Tommy conducts the UCF String quartet while recording "Circus" for the 2019 album of chamber music, Intersecciones
Tommy is well versed in both analog and digital recording.
