Tommy has performed in many major cities in the US with some of these groups: Jynx (Reindeer Records, band based in Denver), Dogs of Pleasure (based in Denver), Aristocratic Trash (based in Los Angeles), Conflict of Interest (based in Virginia Beach), and his acclaimed instrumental group, Tommy Harrison Group (based in Jacksonville).
He proudly uses and has affiliations with Fender Guitars, Marshall Amplifiers, Celestion Speakers, Seymour Duncan pickups, D'Addario guitar strings, Hipshot accessories, and EX-Gear effects pedals.
As a guitarist, Tommy holds a bachelor's degree in Commercial Music from the University of Denver, where he studied classical guitar with Ricardo Iznaola, as well as jazz guitar with David DeMichaelis. He plays nearly every style of music in a session capacity, and specializes in all styles of rock and heavy metal.
Above all, he relishes in collaborating with other musicians in a variety of capacities. He is particularly eager to collaborate with hard rock singers for recording projects.
Tommy is currently playing these two Strats from the Players' Series, equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups. However, he played his beloved 1971 Stratocaster for many years.

Tommy uses a variety of Celestion speakers: Creamback 75 watt (pictured), Vintage 30, Creamback 25 watt from 1974, with four of each housed in their own 4x12. A Lynchback in a Marshall 4010 from 1981. Two 12M-75 in a 2x12.

Hipshot makes great accessories for the innovative guitarist, especially the Drop D tuner, and the Tremsetter. Tommy's Fenders have the Drop D tuner, and his Fender Heartfield Talon, from his first endorsement with Fender, has a Tremsetter, which stabilizes the Floyd Rose Tremolo.
